PHILADELPHIA, NOV. 1, 2010 – State Sen. Anthony H. Williams is partnering with the Energy Coordinating Agency and Kingsessing Fifth Division Community of Neighbors to host a free weatherization workshop this week.

The event will take place on Thursday, Nov. 4 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Kingsessing Recreation Center, 50th and Kingsessing streets in Philadelphia.

Starting in January, electric rate caps will be coming off for PECO customers, which means we will see a rise in our energy bills. Plus, higher heating bills are always expected in the winter, Williams said. Learn how to keep costs under control by attending this informative workshop.

Attendees will learn how to seal their home through tips on using plastic storm windows, weather stripping and V-seal. Learn how to use a caulk gun and how to install foam insulation, rope caulk and automatic clock thermostats. Free weatherization materials will be offered to the first 50 attendees.

Future weatherization workshops will take place through the winter months. For more information on upcoming workshops, visit https://www.senatoranthonyhwilliams.com.
