HARRISBURG, April 17, 2014 — State Sen. Anthony H. Williams, the Cobbs Creek Community Environmental Education Center, and residents of the greater Philadelphia area will work for two hours on Monday, April 21, cleaning up the basketball courts area of Cobbs Creek Park in observance of Earth Day.

Sen. Williams said the cleanup will take place from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.

“Every day can and should be Earth Day because daily we can do things to make our environment better,” Williams said. “I am looking forward to this project with the EEC, students from Motivation High School, and residents from the 8th Senatorial District to make Cobbs Creek Park a better place for everyone and to remind people of what can be a daily ritual.”

The environmental students from Motivation High School have adopted Cobbs Creek Park until June and will work once a week to clean it.
