PHILADELPHIA, July 19, 2013 – Sen. Anthony Williams’ “Neighbor to Neighborhoods: Summer of Peace” event moves into Yeadon tomorrow, July 20, at the Nile Swim Club.
The event, part of the senator’s violence reduction initiative, will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and include free food, games, swimming, and the continuation of the senator’s basketball tournament.
Williams has a record of hosting summertime activities to forge more positive relationships between neighborhoods and the police. Organized activities in safe places help to curb violence and better protect the families and children of the 8th Senatorial District.
