PHILADELPHIA, March 11, 2013 — Card-carrying members of area trade unions looking for work will have an opportunity to land some, thanks to state Sen. Anthony H. Williams.

The senator will host a free career clinic at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at KIPP West Philadelphia Preparatory Charter School/Turner Middle School, 5900 Baltimore Ave. in Philadelphia.

Subcontractors will conduct on-the-spot interviews as they seek to staff their teams for jobs related to the Cobbs Creek Shopping Center renovation. Interested participants should bring references or resumes for review.

“This is an exciting opportunity to bring our laborers together to support local projects,” Williams said. “Too often projects like this appear in a neighborhood, and no one knows how to become a part of it.

“Anyone coming out to this clinic will get those answers and have the chance to help us build up this community that we all love.”
