PHILADELPHIA, Feb. 25, 2013 — With a refurbished area shopping center on the horizon, state Sen. Anthony H. Williams does not want neighbors to miss any upcoming job opportunities.

He will host a free career clinic for card-carrying union members on Saturday, March 2 at 10 a.m. at KIPP West Philadelphia Preparatory Charter School/Turner Middle School, located at 5900 Baltimore Ave.

“Too often construction projects begin in a community, and people living in the area are among the last to be involved in any substantive way,” Williams said. “Since we just broke ground for improvements to the Cobbs Creek Shopping Center at 58th and Baltimore Avenue, now’s the time to find out what you need to work on that project.

“I’m inviting all card-carrying union members from the community to help us build up this neighborhood that we all love.”
