Harrisburg – September 22, 2017 − State Sen. Anthony H. Williams (D-Philadelphia/Delaware), in conjunction with the Philadelphia Kinship Care Committee, Turning Points for Children and the Philadelphia Department of Human Services (DHS), is presenting the 4th biennial Kinship Care Conference this Saturday, Sept. 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at West Philadelphia High School, 4901 Chestnut St., Philadelphia.

Williams and DHS Commissioner Cynthia Figueroa will offer opening remarks at 9 a.m.

The Kinship Care Conference is for grandparents and other relatives who are raising children.  The conference will focus on trauma and resilience and will feature workshops on a variety of issues. Dr. Lucille Ijoy is the featured speaker.
