PHILADELPHIA, May 5, 2017 — State Sen. Anthony H. Williams and state Rep. Joanna McClinton are hosting a free document shredding event for local residents tomorrow. Constituents may bring documents that they no longer need to be safely shredded on site, including tax information, financial papers, medical records and other papers with personal information.

Document shredding is an easy and safe way for individuals to protect themselves from identity theft, the lawmakers said. The lawmakers’ staff will also be on hand to assist constituents with questions and concerns on state issues.  Local Boy Scouts of America Pack 5501 have volunteered to help with the event.

Williams and McClinton will be on site at 10 a.m.

Media coverage is welcome.
