Over the last week, many of my constituents have asked for me to comment publicly on the allegations surrounding State Senator Daylin Leach. As a member of the Pennsylvania Senate Ethics Committee, it is my duty to examine any claim of unethical conduct if and when a formal complaint is filed with the committee – a duty I take very seriously.
Following receipt of a complaint, a thorough finding of facts will occur and the committee will present its findings and recommendations to the full body. Until such time as an ethics complaint is received and properly vetted, it is improper for me to comment publicly so as to remain as unbiased as possible during this process. I respect the right of due process and will let the facts in each case determine the outcome of any investigation undertaken by the Ethics Committee.
