Darby Township, PA – January 30, 2025 − Today, Senator Anthony H. Williams announced $410,000 in Act 13 grant funding for three community projects across the 8th District that will improve public parks, recreation areas, greenways, and trails while supporting local development and rehabilitation.
“These funds are a testament to our commitment to investing in infrastructure, public safety, and community development,” said Senator Williams. “I look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on our community.”
Grant Awards
Flood Mitigation Projects:
Collingdale Borough – Repair and Upgrade Culvert Project – $90,000
Greenways, Trails and Recreation Projects:
Delaware County Planning Department – Lower Darby Creek Trail Loop Project – $170,000
Watershed Restoration Projects”
Yeadon Borough – Providence Road Storm Sewer Improvement Project – $150,000
Act 13 established the Marcellus Legacy Funds and allocates funds to the Commonwealth Financing Authority for the planning, acquisition, development, rehabilitation, and repair of greenways recreational trails, and park projects using the Greenways, Trails, and Recreation Program (GTRP).
