PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 17, 2014 — State Sen. Anthony H. Williams will address Holocaust survivors and members of the Jewish community at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, during an event in the Klein JCC’s Holocaust Awareness Museum and Education Center.

Williams and state Rep. Brendan F. Boyle are sponsoring legislation that would mandate Holocaust and genocide education for middle and high school students in Pennsylvania. Rep. Boyle is also scheduled to speak at the event.

Williams’ measure, Senate Bill 47, is with the Senate Education Committee.

At the event, Holocaust survivor Ernie Gross and the man who was one of the U.S. soldiers to free 32,000 prisoners in Dachau in 1945, Don Greenbaum, will also share their stories.
