PHILADELPHIA, June 17, 2013 – Sen. Anthony Williams, PECO and Wawa will offer a day-long “Family Fun Day” beginning at 9 a.m., June 22, at the Francis Myers Recreation Center, Philadelphia.
The event, part of the senator’s violence reduction initiative, will run from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and include a peace march (9 a.m.), the start of a summer-long basketball tournament (9:30 a.m.), mentoring workshops, swimming, games, and a free lunch.
U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey, Eagles running back LeSean McCoy and local radio personalities are scheduled to participate.
Sens. Williams and Toomey will be available for media interviews about their gun control efforts in Harrisburg and Washington D.C.
