PHILADELPHIA, April 30, 2015 — In the spirit of Mother’s Day, Sen. Anthony Hardy Williams’ office will help women from senior centers throughout the 8th Senatorial District feel better about themselves with a free “Glam Mom Makeover Day” tomorrow and May 8 at Empire Beauty School, Springfield.
“Our mothers are some of the most selfless people we know,” Sen. Williams said. “They are our sounding boards, they make sure we are fed, and they have endured so many of life’s challenges without complaint.
“We do ‘Glam Mom Makeover Day’ because it’s a good way to make sure these special women are the center of attention. When you look good, you feel good.”
Thirty Delaware County seniors will receive free manicures and hair treatments tomorrow between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. On May 8, the senator’s office will provide the makeovers to 30 Philadelphia women.
Women who will be pampered for the day were invited from senior centers and churches in the 8th Senatorial District.
“Glam Mom Makeover Day” will take place, both times, at the Springfield Empire Beauty School. Lunch will be provided. It is being sponsored by Empire Beauty School, Keystone VIP Choice, and the office of Sen. Williams.
