PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 20, 2014 — State Sen. Anthony Hardy Williams will continue his tradition of handing out free turkeys and desserts to constituents and local first responders tomorrow and Monday.

As he does every year, Sen. Williams will provide free Thanksgiving turkeys and trimmings baskets beginning at 4:30 p.m. tomorrow, Nov. 21, to 30 constituents who reached out to the senator and asked for assistance.

The Thanksgiving Day meals will be handed out at the senator’s district office at 2901 Island Ave., Philadelphia.

An additional 70 turkeys will be distributed to community organizations throughout the 8th Senatorial District and to volunteer fire departments in Delaware County for them to share with residents-in-need.

On Monday, Nov. 24, Sen. Williams will show his thanks for the service of the 8th Senatorial District’s policemen and firefighters by handing out desserts to them. The senator will personally make the following three deliveries:

8:30 a.m. – 18th PPD (West), 5510 Pine St.

8:50 a.m. – 12th Police/Fire Department (Southwest), 6448 Woodland Ave.

9:25 a.m. – 17th PPD/Fire Department (South), 20th & Federal sts.

Sen. Williams is working with Brown’s Shop Rite, Fresh Grocer and Insomnia Cookies to continue his tradition of helping local residents.
