PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 17, 2014 — From Social Security issues to workshops on energy choices, state Sen. Anthony Hardy Williams’ annual, free “Navigating Life After 50+ Expo” will open at 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 19, at Mercy Philadelphia Hospital.

Sen. Williams is scheduled to address attendees during the lunch programs at approximately 11:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. in the hospital’s 7th floor conference room. He will be joined by Mercy Philadelphia Hospital Executive Director Susan Cusack and elected officials.

Throughout the day, attendees will be able to visit various workshops on topics that include depression, nutrition, colon cancer screenings, and helping seniors protect themselves against identity theft and fraud.

Mercy Philadelphia Hospital is doing free health screenings. Rite Aid will administer free flu shots to those with insurance cards. The expo’s agenda is attached.

The “Navigating Life After 50+ Expo” is sponsored by Dandrea Produce, Gateway Health, Keystone First, Southwest NuStop, Marcellus Shale Coalition, Pacifico Ford, Independence Blue Cross and Black Women in Sport Foundation.

More than 400 people are expected to attend Sen. Williams’ expo and all attendees will receive a free bag of produce courtesy of Dandrea Produce.
