Summer Reading Program

School may be out for summer, but that doesn’t mean our children should forgo learning. Summer is an important opportunity to foster an ongoing love of reading and prevent the “summer slide.”
I’ve teamed up with Philadelphia Reads and Wills Eye Hospital to hold a FREE “Read to Succeed” Summer Reading Program for students in grades 1 to 3.
The program takes place Mondays through Thursdays, from June 25 to July 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Penrose Elementary School
Students receive free breakfast and lunch and a free eye exam.
