PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 11, 2015 — The Eagles and Falcons will be kicking off their 2015-2016 NFL season in Atlanta, but that’s not going to stop state Sen. Anthony Hardy Williams and the Cobbs Creek Parkway community from celebrating like they were outside Lincoln Financial Field.

Starting at 4:30 p.m., the senator, residents and friends will begin gathering for a special tailgate in the 5900 block of Cobbs Creek Parkway.

“A large projector will beam the game on a large screen that everyone will be able to see,” Sen. Williams said. “We can enjoy each others’ company, give the kids something to do if they don’t want to watch the game in its entirety, and come closer together as a community.”

People who attend the special tailgate party should bring a chair. The street will be closed to traffic so everyone can spread out and have room to root on their Eagles.

DJ Rudeboi will entertain and moonbounces will be available for the kids. Free hot dogs, cotton candy, and popcorn will also be served.

“We cannot wait to cheer our Philadelphia Eagles on to their first win,” Williams said.

The Fresh Grocer is partnering with the senator to present this special tailgate.

Media coverage is welcomed.
