PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 29, 2015 — Continuing their work to meet a definite need, state Sen. Anthony Hardy Williams, Rep. Joanna McClinton and legal experts will hold another clinic this Saturday at Myers Recreation Center, Philadelphia, to help residents clear certain legal violations from their records.
“Expungement clinics help people learn the steps they need to seal past summary offenses – like traffic tickets and contempt of court – or criminal charges that were never prosecuted,” Williams said. “Juvenile records may also be sealed once a person becomes an 18 year old.”
Only people with Philadelphia County arrests are eligible to attend Saturday’s expungement clinic. Those who have non-conviction charges or summary convictions with no arrests during the past five years are invited to participate.
People facing current criminal charges or are on probation cannot be helped at this event.

The Defender Association of Philadelphia and the Philadelphia Lawyers for Social Equity are partnering to help residents.
