DESCRIPTION:Download flyer. \nThe Myths and Reality of Informal Kinship Care \nOne child in 10 in the United States lives with a grandparent.  For 4 out of 10 of those children\, that grandparent is the primary caregiver. \nOur panel of experts will discuss pros and cons; myth vs. reality of informal kinship care.  Panel to include: Barry Kassel of Support Center of Child Advocates (SCCA)\, Jennifer Russell of SeniorLAW Center (SLC)\, Chartan Nelson of Grand Central\, Inc. and Jean Hackney of Grands as Parents. \nThis session is the first in a series of panel discussions to be held as an outgrowth of our successful Helping Hands Intergenerational Resource and Information Conference in May 2011.
