Letter Sent to the Governor to Support Limited Reopening of Real Estate in PA
Yesterday, my colleagues in the Pennsylvania House and Senate sent a letter to Governor Tom Wolf asking him to allow the responsible reopening of real estate services in Pennsylvania.
The Governor has stated that he does not support House Bill 2412 that would reopen real estate services in PA despite the Governor’s emergency declaration.
While I do not support this specific legislation that has been championed by my Republican colleagues, my Democratic colleagues and I do believe that real estate services can be reasonably resumed with an approach that prohibits open houses, requires limited contacts and implements other practices to prevent coronavirus spread.
I urge the Governor to consider the safety of all Pennsylvanians first and foremost, but to respect reasonable measures for safely allowing real estate services to resume in Pennsylvania.
