Harrisburg – January 17, 2017 – In an effort to promote peaceful communities, state Sen. Anthony H. Williams (D-Philadelphia/Delaware) along with WRNB’s Lady B will host a meeting with elected officials, police chiefs and concerned citizens on Jan. 21 in Collingdale.

In the letter inviting citizens and community leaders in Delaware County to the discussion, Williams said that he was “hopeful that an open dialogue among everyone concerned will help foster peace and improve relationships in all communities in which we live and serve.”

The meeting will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21 at Collingdale Borough Hall.  The Collingdale Borough Hall is located at 800 MacDade Blvd. in Collingdale.

“I believe that through dialogue, promoting common interests and working with each other we can create peaceful communities,” Williams said.  “I am very excited to have Lady B as my special guest and moderator of the discussion.”

Williams encouraged local leaders and citizens in Delaware County to attend so they can engage with community leaders, learn how to bridge the gap between police and the community, understand more about how police officers are trained and gain a better grasp of police policies.

To RSVP, and if there are any questions, Williams said that citizens and community leaders can call Brenda Tate in his district office at 215 492-2980 or email btate@pasenate.com

The senator said that he was looking forward to an excellent discussion and a productive session.
