PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 24, 2014 — State Sen. Anthony Hardy Williams will make two public appearances tomorrow, Oct. 25, in Philadelphia to help raise awareness about breast cancer and to continue to educate residents about the importance of nonviolence, education and voter registration.

In the first event, Sen. Williams will join the American Cancer Society and the NFL for “A Crucial Catch Day,” which is designed to teach women how they can reduce their risk for breast cancer.

The senator is scheduled to speak between noon and 12:30 p.m. at the Health Annex in the Woodland Village Plaza, 6120 Woodland Ave., Philly. The event runs from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The second event, “The Lift @ Love Park,” is sponsored by the Mayor’s Office of Faith Based Initiatives and will take place between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. and offer a free hip hop concert while emphasizing non violence, education and voter registration.

Sen. Williams is scheduled to speak at 3:50 p.m.
