PHILADELPHIA, NOV 10, 2010 — Sen. Anthony H. Williams has teamed up with Tyrone Gilliams of TL Gilliams LLC, to give away more than 600 free Thanksgiving turkeys this year in the 8th Senatorial District.
The turkey giveaway will take place on Saturday, November 20th at noon at the senator’s main district office, 6630 Lindbergh Blvd. in Philadelphia.
“Thanksgiving is such a special holiday because it’s all about sharing a meal with loved ones and giving thanks for our many blessings,” Williams said. “We want to ensure that families have an opportunity to celebrate Thanksgiving in the great American tradition, so we’re looking forward to handing out turkeys and making the holiday memorable.”
Although anyone who resides in the 8th Senatorial District qualifies, there is a limit of one turkey per household and individuals must call 215-492-2980 to reserve a turkey. Reservations will be held on a first come, first served basis.
