Reminder: PA Treasury to Host a Small Business Initiative on March 11th
Pennsylvania State Treasury Department is launching the Small Business Initiative, a half-day workshop in partnership with academic institutions and world-class businesses across the Commonwealth. This innovative workshop is designed to provide immediate and impactful knowledge and networking to help small-to-medium size businesses grow.
The deadline to register with SBI is 4:00 PM on Friday, March 4, 2016. The event is FREE to those who sign up by Tuesday March 1st end of day. Simply use the promo code COMP when registering. A letter of confirmation will be sent after the online registration process has been completed.
Click Here to Register by March 4.
The first-ever Small Business Initiative conference will be held in the Gerri C. LeBow Hall at Drexel University, 3200 Market St., Philadelphia on March 11th at 7:45 am.
There are over 12 hours of workshops covering 4 topics, of which you may choose up to 3 workshops under any of the topics provided. Each workshop provides you with 60 minutes of knowledge and a consultation by an industry professional.
The keynote luncheon Speaker is Gregory Coleman, co-Founder and COO of Nexercise, Inc. Nexercise is a fast growing business in the health & fitness space. Gregory Coleman recently pitched their product “Sworkit” on Shark Tank and successfully engaged a $1.5 M investment by billionaire Mark Cuban for 10% of the company. Gregory will share his experiences in growing his business through sales and acquisitions, raising debt and equity, and managing costs under budget constraints.
Mr. Coleman received his M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and also holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy.
The Small Business Initiative gives entrepreneurs access to information and resources they need to continue growing their businesses. From insurance to corporate governance structure and capital formation, the Small Business Initiative – even though it is a new program – is promising to get you where you want to be.
So, if you have been in business for at least three years, have had total revenues of at least $250,000 for the prior two years, or have a current annual run rate of $500,000, check out the Small Business Initiative. There are only 100 seats available so I encourage business owners who qualify to take advantage of this opportunity and register before the March 4 deadline.
This is a great opportunity for small businesses to network with companies and experts they, normally, would not be able to work with.
